Worcester Armenian Food Festival(s)

Hey hey folks. Has anyone been to either of the Armenian food festivals in Worcester?

I actually thought I was coming to here to ask about this one, hosted by Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church next weekend: https://www.facebook.com/events/2238861066610704/?active_tab=discussion

But then when I googled it for more information, it turns out … a different Worcester Armenian church had their food festival last month: https://www.facebook.com/p/Worcester-Armenian-Festival-100093454233380/

At first glance, it looks like the earlier one had a greater variety of food; there’s also a lot of local news coverage of it (Patch etc), while the November one is not mentioned many places. On the other hand, I have an Escape, not a Delorean.

Worcester’s a bit of a trek, but if somebody’s been to either, and especially to the November one … I might have to check it out. (I have wanted to check out the European bakery there anyway, I think it might literally be called European Bakery.)

I have not been to either. So no help there.

But if you make the trek, I’d add a visit to Golemo’s Polish market for all types of kielbasa/sausages. They are worth the drive too. Need to make it there before the holidays. Thanks for the reminder.

And post back if you go to the festivals.

I second that. My PIC is half Armenian, and we both love the food

I looked it up to see if it was the same bakery I bought a few things at when I was out and about antiquing a few months ago (it wasn’t). BUT I see they have the Armenian version of a Christmas cookie my grandmother used to make, the Norwegian Fattimann Bakkelser, although Fattimanns have ground cardamom. (out of stock right now)

I’d go just for the rye or marble rye breads!
And the strudel (apple or apricot).
And the rugelach.
