Why do salsas mold so easily?

Because you’re not eating it fast enough.

(duh)

Mould the hungriest organism in their house, evidently!

Your first suggestion has something to it. Your second suggestion does not.

I live in Spain.

Organic is used on wine labels.
We use Bio and Ecological on foods.

It is up to the legalities of the denomination of origen and if it is being shipped only within Spain or it is for export …

What do they mean, though?

I made two suggestions?

You suggested that if a piece of cheese has two completely different molds growing on it, it may not be safe to simply scrape off the mold.

You suggested in addition that if jam or jelly has mold growing on top, it is not necessary to discard the whole container. This is patently false. If you search for this on the internet, you will find sufficient scientific explanations.

Why not decant it into a ziploc bag and freeze it? Or put it in an ice cube tray, freeze, then put the cubes in a freezer bag? Easy to thaw, stays fresh.

I know I’d pay a premium for a six pack of baby jar sized salsas.

English is my 3rd language, so I going to suggest that you go to Google or Wikipedia and look up the vocabulary.

It basically denotes whether or not a toxic pesticide is used on agricultural lands or not at all.

As we are based in Spain, the E.U. laws and the national government here, are more environmentally protective.

Have a nice weekend.

I’ve been curious too. So far I’ve found this, but I haven’t found ecological yet.

EcolabelIndex All ecolabels in Spain

Eco is short for ecological.

Thank you for posting the link.

Zara, Zara Home, Zara Kids, and the rest of the Inditex owned shops, use organic or eco fabrics. It is in their labels on the clothing … Ecologically grown cotton etc. Galician owned and operated.

The French use the word biologique (bio).

This is a growing life style here. Spain has a large number of organic wineries, as does Italy and France.

Lots of fruits and veggies that are eco or organic … Meats as well – wherein the cattle eat in pasture from non pesticide lands. Same with eggs, poulty etcetra …

The Basque Country is highly regarded for their eco or organic Black Angus Beef.

Have a nice day.
