This year Bastille Day, July 14th, falls on a Friday so you can extend your Gallic food and dining experience thru the weekend, if you wish. Not that I need an excuse, we really enjoy French cuisine. One stop for us may be at Encore in Larchmont. Always enjoyed David’s take on French bistro cooking. Another may be at Café D’Alsace in Manhattan.
Where do you like to take in some French?
My new favorite French is too far to go for an evening. It is Le Petit Bistro in Rhinebeck. Of course, I miss Buffet de la Gare!
I do too. I remember the family well. We are planning a trip back to the Hudson Valley so we will look up Le Petit Bistro at some point.
We recently tried d’Gabby, the latest incarnation of a French restaurant where Jackie’s Bistro was years ago on Post Rd in Eastchester. Our experience was very good, including confit of duck, done appropriately, and very pleasant service. We will be giving them another try one of these days.
