Where can I find Thai beer between Middletown and East Brunswick? (Liquor store, not bar.) Singha preferred, but other brands considered.
Total wine appears to carry Singha. Not sure if that’s in your preferred area
Your best bet is to go on the Singha website and find which stores carry it.
Nice idea, but all the SIngha website will tell me is who the distributor for the entire US is.
Then I’d go to the distributor’s site and if it’s not there, give them a call! Saves a lot of running around…
Wegmans has the lager
Perfect! I’m even driving by there today, saving me a special trip.
The Singha web page doesn’t have a link to the distributor, but when I type in the name, get to their web page, and ask the store locator, it says there is no store within 50 miles of me. Useless!.
(In July I’m getting together with friends I went to Thailand with at Siam Smiles and wanted to bring the beer.)
Last time I looked (and it has been awhile) but Singha labels in the US said:
BREWED UNDER THE STRICT SUPERVISION OF
SINGA CORPORATIONS CO., LTD, BANGKOK THAILAND
BY MOOSEHEAD BREWERIES LTD., SAINT JOHN, NB, CANADA
Not that unusual for a foreign brand and, in this case, it can still be labeled IMPORTED
Also, at some point the ABV of Singha sold in the US was no longer listed at 6%.
Can still be an interesting event, even if it means some "Wow, this does not taste ANYTHING like the way I remember it!" reactions.
Not sure if it’s available in your area but beer Lao is distributed in the U.S. and I think they do the best Classic SE Asian lager of all the major breweries in the region. The beer Lao gold is especially good if you can find it.
