I still can’t decide what is the right answer. I guess I’m like the Congress in this regard.
As a kid playing in the slightly north Midwest, I loved that due to Summer Time the sun didn’t set (and so didn’t stop our play) until after 9 pm. I also hated trudging through dark snow at 5:30 p.m. in the dark in the slightly north Midwest after work.
But as a parent with kids on the bus stop (years ago now), I liked that Winter Time had the sun at least peeking over the ridge as the bus was coming for them at 8 a.m,.
And I realize that some of our fellows (like Dan in AZ, and other states that don’t change times) haven’t dealt with these kinds of changes in decades or longer.
Yes – this is good. My mother gets very confused as part of the year there is a 2 hours difference and most of the year 3 hours difference. She seems to do better when we are three hours different as she lumps Arizona in with California.
It was a good monologue. Actually it was a pretty good show overall, not the usual snl inconsistency.

Martin’s early and mid-career standup is really outstanding. It’s one of the main reasons I’ve kept Sirius XM, because various bits of it get played on the 92-98 channels (US version of XM, anyway).
I didn’t see the show itself, though. I kind of gave up on TV about 15 years ago. I catch “highlight” type reels if someone sends me links, though.
I don’t even know how to access our TV anymore. If kids are home from college and have it on, I might watch a bit with them (girls like “Bones” etc.) but I don’t know how (edit - don’t care to know how) to get to any shows myself.
Edit2 - and it’s not that the shows aren’t good. The stuff they watch is pretty interesting and well acted. It’s just that given my druthers, TV is not my thing, I guess.
