I didn’t know it, but the goog says yes.
And it’s starring Harry Dean Stanton. Now Ima have to see if I can find it.

Haha. Just to poke the jerk one more time, you should correct his grammar. Slander is spoken, written is libel. Tell him any token idiot - like him - should readily recognize that written defamation is called libel.
Edit - I recognize these are seldom held to, today.
Sad to give catfish a bad rap.
A policeman showing up at your front door for a dispute about veganism from someone . Is absolutely rock star. I believe this is the first in the history of food talk . Rock on Lingua .
Ralph also said “Yay, sleep! That’s where I’m a Viking!”
Catfish ole nicontine!
Ug.
I’m a big fan of catfish. I pull one or two 3-5+ pound very pretty channel cat out each time I go. Unless it’s a turtle day. This slough has gotten overgrown with turtles and lately I’m as likely to catch a softshell turtle as a cat.
They (the turtles) feel like a monster cat when they hit, because they dig their feet into the bottom. Then you can tell it’s not a fish and go “uhhn, not again!”.
movie about [Paris, Texas]
Indeed there is, from 1984 starring Harry Dean Stanton and directed by Wim Wenders. It’s a beautiful, sad drama, almost a tone poem, about a man, Travis (Stanton) who wanders in from the desert, mute. He and his brother begin a search across the southwest for Travis’ wife.
It’s a beautiful film with fantastic performances by Stanton, as well Dean Stockwell and Nastassja Kinski. It won the Palme d’Or at Cannes that year.
Highly recommended.
I’ve been a forum admin too (not on FB) and on an IRC. Dear GOD people can be idjits.
I thought so! Thanks for checking that out.
Somehow, I thought it was a Larry McMurtry story, but know now that was a totally different story. The mind goes first, my MIL frequently quoted.
You’re probably thinking of Texasville, which IS a McMurtry story and a sequel to The Last Picture Show. Both of them made into films directed by Peter Bogdanovich, Picture Show in 1970 (it won a bunch of awards and was Cybil Shepherd’s breakout role) and Texasville in 1990, starring many of the original cast reprising their roles.
It was panned by critics and bombed at the box office.
But you’re not alone. I have CONSTANTLY mixed up Picture Show, Paris, Texas, Texasville, and Nashville, a completely unrelated and much-acclaimed 1975 Robert Altman film set in the world of country and gospel music.
I loved Paris, Texas and hated Nashville with a passion. I wonder if I would feel as strongly nowadays.
I have yet to see Nashville, but I have a ticket to a showing this Sunday, along with Hitchcock’s Family Plot (which I’ve also never seen).
I generally like Altman’s films and I LOVE Shelly Duvall (especially her collabs with Altman like 3 Women) so I am optimistic.
There’s water coming from the sky!
What could it mean? What could it mean?
Sometimes it means lightning strikes and fires. Apparently during such a fire in 2020, a local man took advantage by starting his own fire and hiding a dead body in it.
ETA no thunder and lightening with this one.
The joys of California living? You never know what you’re gonna’ get.
Ick!
I heard the Park Fire is 70% contained and holding at less than 250,000 acres. Then I heard Lassen got dumped on with the white stuff. I hope the cooler, wetter weather knoecks down the fires.
You live in an exciting area!
