I didn’t have a problem with her not washing the chicken. I don’t wash chicken ( for the same reason you stated) and neither does Jacques Pepin. It was all that other stuff she threw in the pan.
“…a former Minnesota high school social studies teacher…” says “…it’s really hard to remember how to make all these things homemade and it takes a lot of time”.
Yeah. Perhaps that’s why she’s a former teacher. Because she sucked at it.
This is the type of “content creation” that I despise.
I remain eternally vigilant against being sucked into those vortices.
Amen!
A Harry & David holiday fruit commercial was just on TV. Reminded me of this Everybody Loves Raymond episode.
Repost of a post I made on the silliness and food funnies thread.
“THIS❣️A thousand, if not millions of times this❣️I don’t know how the misuse of apostrophes became so widespread, but it drives me insane‼️And please don’t give me the “descriptive vs. prescriptive” line of BS regarding English grammar/spelling/punctuation spiel. I never had a teacher that would accept that as a reason or excuse for making a mistake. A mistake is a mistake…plain and simple‼️“
We had to put one our cats down, today. Henry, to whom my partner belonged, exclusively, had been losing weight for a few months. The vet suspected IBD, but that also often presents similar to lymphoma. After MANY weeks of trying to get him back to his old self, it got to be too much.
Bye, you big old blockhead
This is the third we’ve had to say farewell to this year. The first was Sasha, a stray that wandered into the house 12 years ago. That was right before Xmas. Then was Henry’s sister, Liza (both named for My Fair Lady).
We currently have Mugsy (to whom I belong, exclusively, and Tiger, a backyard stray we pulled inside earlier this year. She’s still acclimating to having people around full time, but she really likes headscratchings.
I’m sorry. I hope the cat-sized hole in your heart fills with love and memories soon.
heartbreaking. (after the first few cats of mine perished, i thought, no more ever. it’s too devastating. twelves cats later … i wasn’t sticking to the plan). cheers to the crazy cat guys and gals. cats never fail us, humans are another story.
Ohhh, I’m so very sorry. It’s so very hard to say goodbye to them; time is always so short, but the love we get snd give can fill our hearts forever.
I’m sorry
So sorry to hear this. Please be extra kind to yourselves in the coming days.
I’m so sorry for your loss. Our first cat companion, The Dude, was diagnosed with IBS/lymphoma several years before we had to let him go. He did very well on steroid shots… until he didn’t.
Peace with you and good memories of the furrburrs.
I’m sorry for your loss
Going into today with this kind of energy
GREAT name for a cat! LOL
Agreed! He’s got quite the personality (at least based on what his owner posts)!
I thought this was pretty amusing!
He apparently…“opened up on his diagnosis of narcissistic personality disorder…the disorder that the Mayo Clinic says gives people an “unreasonably high sense of their own importance.” They need and seek too much attention and want people to admire them,…Cannon…spoke candidly while serving meals at the Los Angeles Mission’s Thanksgiving celebration.”
I’m glad he finally admitted he had a problem. And in doing so he created a new type of reality show. Nick Cannon. And his 12 kids with 6 different women. That’s something to be proud of.
