I wanted to reply, but my fingers are speechless.

The judge let her get off WAY too lightly. This was assault! She should have to serve the full 180 days, AND work for 60 days in the same damn Chipotle store in which she threw the burrito bowl. The manager stepped in to help a 17yo employee that Hayne was screaming at.

What a vile woman. Would be interesting to hear where she goes to “serve” her fast-food work sentence and how she fares.

The person who videoed the incident also started a GoFundMe for Hayne, which is now up to over $7000.

O tempora, o mores. Where rage is the trendy new feelz, both online and off :scream:

Were I hiring for a fast food operation, the perp is the LAST person I would want/accept on my team. A loose cannon like her is an enormous liability. I wonder how the sentence is going to be executed, i.e., how she is going to be placed.

Yeah, not sure I’d want to order with angry lady anywhere, ever :scream:

Maybe they’ll have her making and remaking endless burrito bowls.

The one sure thing is that it will be a punishment to everyone else around her.

" City Council Candidate Loses by One Vote, After Not Voting"

I JUST saw that, too! Bet he has regrets

Why would someone running for office not vote?

Overconfident?

Maybe, but it’s pretty stupid to be so nonchalant about your civic engagement when it is quite literally the way you get this job.

I believe the main irony of this news item is that he didn’t vote for himself, and lost by one vote.

Maybe he thought he’d be a bad choice, but couldn’t bear to vote for the other candidate.

I believe he said it “felt awkward” to vote for himself. :woman_shrugging:

Yeah, I think maybe get over that before you run for office.

Is that some kind of morality showing?? Definitely not political material.

Maybe it is a superstitious thing. I have often wondered if people do that.

Robert’s rules of parliamentary procedure says a “chair” should only vote to break a tie. Or if it’s a secret ballot. Do we still have those?
