That is very cool!

This made me giggle because it could be the title of a story about 2 people with arguments! To put in context, I’m a lawyer, and get lots of lawyer-y type happenings in my box each day. One of my compilations apparently has a British bent, and so literally every disagreement is titled a “row.” And I got to thinking if we had a US based one, they could call everything a “beef.” Possibly this is funnier to me than to you!

that sounds great. i love broccoli, and bet i’d love this dish.

Make a lot! It would be great as leftovers, and it’s labor intensive. Here’s the recipe I mostly used:

Try going with equal parts brandy/Cognac and Grand Marnier. My second one was much more balanced.

What @mariacarmen said. Since my saag paneer experience earlier this week I’m looking forward to trying various versions. Yours sounds - and looks - really good.

I hope you like your version! I ate the leftovers today and can report that they are good cold. Full disclosure: I was REALLY hungry.

Tonight was pan-fried grouper fillet with butter and herbs, cucumber salad, garlic spinach, and leftover rice pilaf and cranberry-apple sauce. Some G&Ts and shrimp cocktail before.

Brain cells weren’t firing on all cylinders, so I didn’t want to think about dinner.

Gorton’s fish filets to the rescue, with a remoulade (of sorts) of mayo and TJs seafood cocktail sauce.

Chopped up a carrot and boiled in salted water until almost cooked, adding peas and TJs roasted corn for the last minute. Tossed the veg after draining with butter and Penzeys’ Tuscan Sunset herb blend.

There was wine. And I’ll think tomorrow, said Scarlett.

Bokkeumbap, with my 5 day old kimchi. Day old jasmine rice, 2 slices of smoky bacon, chopped scallions, smoked shoyu, soy, sesame oil, a tiny splash of fish sauce, and hot chili oil. BF’s egg came out great, nice crispy edges, mine broke, but at least it was still runny. Extra kimchi on the side, and a tiny cuke salad with mirin, rice wine vinegar, chili oil, a little sugar, and gochugaru.

I cooked up a spicy Shrimp Tikka Masala tonight, sautéing the shrimp in chili-infused oil in our wok which we bought a couple of weeks ago and have been using for everything lately. BF chipped in with curried potatoes. Garlic naan from Trader Joe’s not pictured.

Was just in the mood for something spicy and this delivered.

To drink: a Scotch Sling. Didn’t have apricot brandy so I tried using Chambord instead (have seen recipes calling for blackberry brandy). It was OK. Just OK. Would not make again. Stuck with Scotch and soda rest of night because Scotch pairs well with Indian food.
