A pistachio brioche treat from a Sicilian bakery nearby.

Good, but we blanked on the owner’s suggestion to warm it in the oven briefly. #jetlagbrainfog

Next time

We tried the baklava place’s version of Dubai chocolate, and it was hands down the best we’ve had so far. Very light, good quality milk chocolate, strong pistachio flavor & the kadaifi tasted so toasty — you could tell it had been freshly made.

Gonna be a tough one to beat…but we’re up for the challenge

Apple fritter warmed up in the M/W. Not too shabby for a grocery store d-nut that didn’t cost $6 a piece($4.99 for 4)

Ah, ice cream. Yes, you did mention having them as a movie theater treat growing up in Germany in the HO discussion about ice cream bonbons. (That
was also where I had the latter.) Nice to have a dark chocolate option/

That combination sounds tailor-made for me.

It was quite good. A new to us place since our favorite ice cream parlor is half across town now :frowning:

Last night’s indulgence included one of the pistachio cream baklava, and the kadaif wrapped around chocolate & pistachios — a riff on the Dubai choc trend, as well as some of that massive walnut pastry (the brown, unsightly square next to the Dubai kadaif.

Yes I had seen the article when it came out and “alerted” :joy: my son to do a drop by. This is my second delivery, wonderful story of a multi talented man who deserves every bit of success.
