What's At Your Local Farmers Market? The Bountiful Fresh Veggies, Fruits, Meats, Nuts and More Grown By Your Local Farmers [Thoughts + Pics]

Thanks @Sgee for the white/green figs note. The ones from Arnett Farms are called “Tuscan” but we’ll definitely have to try the green ones.

Looks like available to forage in DC area. Any sightings out west ?

I am pretty sure they are at Torrance on Saturday as well!

We went to the Torrance farmers market last Tuesday.

Black Sheep Farms had emu eggs. They are beautiful. I would have bought one, but they cost $30.00 each. The farmer explained that emus only lay eggs from November through February.

Another vendor had Brazilian cherry fruit. I was intrigued so I bought some. My husband and I thought they tasted awful. I told a chef friend. He said that they are delicious, but they need to be macerated. I gave them to him.
