Thanks @Sgee for the white/green figs note. The ones from Arnett Farms are called “Tuscan” but we’ll definitely have to try the green ones.

I am pretty sure they are at Torrance on Saturday as well!
We went to the Torrance farmers market last Tuesday.
Black Sheep Farms had emu eggs. They are beautiful. I would have bought one, but they cost $30.00 each. The farmer explained that emus only lay eggs from November through February.
Another vendor had Brazilian cherry fruit. I was intrigued so I bought some. My husband and I thought they tasted awful. I told a chef friend. He said that they are delicious, but they need to be macerated. I gave them to him.
