What’s on your mind?

Love Philly for many reasons, not as familiar with PGH.

I happen to live in a bubble that is about as non-siltucky as it gets… but once you leave the town limits — yikes :scream:

Yes I have lived in Philly most of my life and spent some time in Pittsburgh (fun town). The rest of the state? Well the corn is sweet and the ice cream is good :slightly_smiling_face:

At least Pennsylvania isn’t North Dakota. :smirk:

I’m from Philly (and therefore, by definition, an Eagles fan), We don’t mention North Dakota in polite company.

Heh. Philadelphia has the best sports fans. Also there was a hitchhiking robot once with a little sign. The game was give the robot a long or short ride and then place it on the roadside for someone else to pick up. Some maniac left that poor sweet robot in Philadelphia. You can guess how that story ends.

We have the Reading Terminal Market. "nuff said.

You sure know how to damn with faint praise. And really I just wanted to type those words.

The most interesting cross-section of cultures around. Where else do attorneys, immigrants, business people and the homeless share communal tables?

Corn is too darned sweet these days if you ask me. Years ago you had to add a pinch of sugar to the corn water. Not any more.

That is the most tired Philadelphia trope ever.

How can you say that? bbq is a rock star obviously since that song I just posted is clearly written just for him. Somebody wants told him the world was gonna roll him he’s not the sharpest tool on the shelf. Now we will see if he can take it as well as dish it out. Any bets?

You find your leopard yet? Hope he did not get mugged

I think a nun, the dean of my graduate school actually told the class that once. Nuns can have a wicked sense of humor. I miss her even though she mocked me at our graduating class celebration. Chestnut Hill is a beautiful college.

The song was written in Bucks County quite near me. - “Oh what a beautiful morning,” is a lyric written by Oscar Hammerstein at his Doylestown, Bucks County Highland Farm.

“Huge”

When not flying we’ve driven to CT several times over the years to visit family. Twice we went up through Kentucky/Ohio. Then across PA on 78 and up 81. Both times we came back down our usual route of 81S through Virginia and across Tennessee to get home to Texas. While beautiful country, Pennsylvania IS a huge state to get through. On the 81 to 78 route back home anyway.
