That looks great.

Watched the first episodes of Criminal Record (Apple +) with Cush Jumbo and Peter Capaldi and Monsieur Spade (AMC) with Clive Owen. Both pretty good.

We started the latest series of True Detective, which is like if The Head and Top of the Lake had a baby.

The first episode was def intriguing. Nice that they moved away from the manly man concept, too.

Watched Role Play. Very much like the Date Night (2010) and Killers (2010).
My only issue is that I still see Kaley Cuoco as Penny.

Oooh! That reminds me of the crazy first season of Flight Attendant, which I found highly enjoyable. She was really great in that.

I haven’t seen it since the first season, which I barely remember other than I like it and there were a lot of damaged men roaming around.

Yeah, it’s been a while. IIRC, the second season wasn’t as good.

That she definitely is. She has an amazing talent of playing a vast range of characters.
I watched her role as Penny for more than a decade, and then seeing her as an assassin is new to me. It might take a few more Kaley movies for me to shed that preoccupation. lol.

I begged off it at the time because I was boycotting stories launched by a dead naked woman whose principal function was to kickoff a narrative of male soul searching and pontificating.

Might given this one a whirl though. (Of course I loved Deadloch).

Oops: I thought you were still talking True Detective.

I am! Also, this season of True Detective is about FEMALE soul searching and pontificating. Baby steps.

A terrible, terrible ‘horror’ flick that gives new meaning to the Great Pumpkin - so bad, in fact, that I couldn’t remember its name or much of the plot this morning. Ya win some, ya lose some. A classic The Venture Bros. epi afterwards to cleanse our brain palates.

Could we conclude that the average rating of 5.5 is out of 100?

Binged Fool Me Once (Netflix) the other day. Each episode had us wanting the right away. That doesn’t usually happen.

Watched episode 1 of Death And Other Details (Hulu) last night because Mandy Patinkin is always great. Kept us interested, but too soon to be sure.

Cream or jam first:

Somerset, where the show is set, isnt known for its cream teas - that would be nearby counties of Devon and Cornwall. But the obvious answer to your question is jam first - as anyone who has tried to spread jam onto cream will testify.

Pasties - side or top crimped?

Red or brown sauce on your bacon butty/sarnie. Or on your cob/barm/bap.
