What have you been watching lately? 2024 Edition

The latter.

I would be very curious indeed on your opinion of The Substance, since we seem to have at least somewhat overlapping tastes.

You will have to wait until it’s available for streaming bc we are cheap and lazy

Finally at the latest Season (4) of My Brilliant Friend which much to my surprise I’m enjoying very much.

And, Hulu’s second season of the series, Accused started today. Each episode is a diff story, well cast.

Together again after The Musketeers, Mark Warren (Comte de Rochefort) and Maimie McCoy (Milady de Winter) as Piet and Lucienne.

Loved this. I like that they’ve moved to highlighting simpler food. All four of these chefs and their stories were excellent.

I just saw the first episode of the new season and it was excellent but heartbreaking. Felicity Huffman was excellent.

Interesting, at least for awhile, but I am finding it a little hard to follow.

Love Lies Bleeding, solely based on a NYT blurb along with 4 other movies as one of five “horror” movies to stream. That it was mentioned in the same article as In A Violent Nature, which I’ve already described as violent and slashery indeed was confounding to both of us. The supernatural component was almost an afterthought.

That said, Kristen Stewart’s is a talented actor, and Ed Harris gave a killer performance in a supporting role. His hair stylist should win an academy award.

Oh, and we also finished Bad Monkey. I could use a Vince Vaughn break for a bit.

We’re watching 5 diff streamed series at once, each a diff night as we can but 5 is def our limit.

Oh, I would be sofa king confused my PIC would lose his mind :joy:

He’s the recap dude when there is no recap available.

Ah, sofa, well…

Sometimes we’re standing, watching/listening while in the kitchen preparing a meal. Or via hotspot iPad in a parked truck.. The perk of streaming-mobile viewing. I watched Breaking Bad in a tent!

We just dig that we can watch from anywhere.

Be sure you and your gal catch the woman of South Korea who have spent 50 yrs training and harvesting raw seafood from amazing ocean depths for a living wage. Incredibly dedicated to the legacy of this specific trade in the face of dangerous, defying practices, a changing climate impacting their food supply and income.

Apple tv, film, The Last of the Sea Women.
