This is so well done
Isn’t Acapulco a great show? I always get a kick out of the couple that sing the popular 80’s pop songs in Spanish.
Thanks for recommending The Valet! I just saw it on Hulu. Eugenio Derbez was very good in it. The woman that played his mother was great as well.
Watched the new Mean Girls on a flight and was pleasantly surprised.
It’s a Tina Fey and Friends cast on the older generation, which is usually a good bet.
I didn’t love the young’uns in this iteration as much as the old one, but it was light and fun and what the doctor ordered for a sleepless redeye.
(Of course now Amazon is advertising the crap out of it every time I watch anything on Prime.)
Watching it; I’m on the pastry episode.
Who takes the apple pie out of the “tin”???
Finally started watching 3 Body Problem.
Can’t say much about it bc I have no idea what’s going on. Yet. Very intriguing.
We watched Season 1 of Red Rock, to discover that Prime Canada doesn’t offer Season 2. It’s available on Apple TV, which I don’t have.
Cool! He’s a fun comic actor and far more well known than I realized.
I started watching a few minutes of this and could tell that they were going to play up conflict and rivalry between chefs. Will probably keep watching at some point for the location and scenery but kind of over made up drama reality shows these days…
The first tIme I saw him was on Acapulco. I guess he is popular overseas. He looks like Mr. Bean (Rowan Atkinson)
Ha! I have seen him in commercials recently so the Appletv series may have lifted his acting profile but his body of work is plentiful. We are late to the party!
Watched the last Wheel of Fortune hosted by Pat Sajak . Forty one years
An amazing career in television.
Turns into a fairly conventional story, and since it was just renewed for another season, no resolution in the final epi.
Eh. Not sure I need to watch more.
Watched Hit Man last night on Netflix. Overall, it’s entertaining but gets a little flabby in the middle.
Finally got back to Tin Star on Prime.
I think it came out around the same timeframe as Ozark, and I couldn’t get into it because Ozark seemed similar but so much better (plus: Jason Bateman).
Anyway, I thought S1 was good. S2 was a lot weaker, like they couldn’t figure out what to do.
Ozark and Justified both much better imo.
Just finished the four episodes of Stax: Soulsville USA on MAX. Must see tv for those interested in soul music and the civil rights era.
PB’S Edward VIII: The Traitor King. Wow!
Appletv’s Drops of God was so interesting. Without spoiling the plot, the story involves the inheritance of a superior wine collection. Plenty of surprises and a well paced series.
The movie is also pretty good as a manual on tasting better wine. Lots of good points for oenophiles.
Thanks for the heads up!
