What have you been watching lately? 2024 Edition

Hope it’s better than Murder on the Orient Express, which my PIC forced upon us as “light viewing” when we were down with the flu. I still haven’t forgiven him for that one

Too late to edit, and for some reason the trailer link didn’t transfer. I practically jumped out of my skin in the 3rd episode :scream: @Lectroid you might enjoy this since you dig the genre.

Yes I like it, a lot. I didn’t realize he was the guy from MI-5.

Liking Monsieur Spade on AMC, but that might be a Clive Owen thing. :sunglasses:

I’ve seen Archive 81 and really loved it. It’s apparently based on a podcast (which I’m not familiar with).

It’s a bummer that it didn’t get a 2nd season. I loved the tone and vibe of the series. It’s got a fantastic atmosphere of mystery and dread to it.

Yikes! I couldn’t get through that one.I guess I didn’t realize it was horror until it hit me in my face. Or his face. :grimacing:

It wasn’t Get Out, but it played on racial dynamics in a way that I found interesting.

We watched that when it first came out and liked it quite a bit. Like @Lectroid, we were disappointed to not get more of it. The terrain (physical, not emotional) is very similar to that surrounding our upstate cabin, so I was also reminded of how uneasy I can get when I stay there alone. For extra menace.

I’m dismayed to hear about a possible second season that never happened, which would imply that there won’t be a solution at the end. Watched another two last night.

And yeah, I like the countryside, but with a smidgen less isolation plz. And fewer ghosts/apparitions :scream:

I just have to worry about bears (which I have encountered) and crazy off-the-grid armed preppers (which I have not encountered but am 100% sure are out there).

I like to joke with my friends that our fairly progressive college town is surrounded by cows and crazies. 'cept the cows are the only ‘funny’ thing about it.

Watched the first episode of Feud: Capote vs. The Swans on FX/Hulu last night. Lots of really well knows actresses in this, but we’re not sure we can stick with it. Wife’s comment was “Who cares?
There’s too much other good stuff to watch”.

I enjoyed the first season tremendously, and the new cast does look promising.

Only one way to find out …

Started rewatching old ATHF episodes before we’re diving into the more recents seasons we’d not watched yet.

RIP.

If ever there was a show that exemplified stoner humor, it’s ATHF.

I love that show. It’s brilliantly stupid.

I liked it alright, certainly more than Medium H, who was ready to bail after the first 10:00. (He didn’t like the first season, either.) I’ll probably give it a few more hours of my life. I like a lurid drama with cool clothes.

Master Shake is my spirit animal :joy:. I actually own a wooden dugout with his likeness engraved, tho I hardly ever use it anymore.

Tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow!!!
