What Fast Food Chain Do You Love?

I read about this a few years back. Now it makes more sense. Art is good.

Okay, this is a weird one but it’s PR and free is involved…to a limit. A friend just sent this to me, and yes I qualify and there’s one about 3 miles away. Didn’t want to start its own thread.

TL;Dr - key word; Mike, Michael, Miguel, Michele or Michaela, etc. May 6.

Yes, I have to Sweet Green. It is ok. It is good, fast…etc. I personally like Tender Green more.

Back when I was working in downtown DC a decade ago, it was a regular lunch spot for me. The salads were quite delicious and creative, albeit a little pricey for what they were. There was a dearth of fresh options at the time, so it was welcome.

My first Shake Shack burger, at their new location downtown, was better than I expected, thicker and juicier. It was kind of expensive, though, around $10 for a single patty (plus downtown Berkeley parking fees).

We had a decent Shake Shack burger at a Princeton location, but it was also pretty hefty in price.

I always like Shake Shack, but I remember people were already complaining its price before the general price increase among other burger joints.

You get what you pay for. But TBH I’d rather pay more for a burger in a real restaurant than any FF or fast casual place.

That’s interesting – I’ve never liked their burger because smashing flattens out the patty. But their chicken sandwiches are good.

And now that I looked, I might have to go and try their limited-time BBQ Boneless Baby Back Rib Sandwich .

$8 for a single patty, $10 for a double, with “no hormones or antibiotics, humanely raised and source verified”.

I don’t think most restaurants serving Sysco burgers (sometimes soy-boosted) to customers who have no idea are doing better.

That’s why I said “better than expected”–I thought it would have all the juices smooshed out, but they weren’t.

Yeah, Shake Shack has figured out how to keep the smashburger juicy - I think because their proprietary beef blend/grind is REALLY fatty. If only Five Guys could get that right. I like their fries, but their burgers are always sad, dry hockey pucks.

Interesting! Back when I still delivered food the guy behind the counter gifted me a burger & fries, seeing that I was hungry. The burger was good, but the fries were floppy and limp.

Sounds hideous.

I don’t miss it!
