Something with ground meat. I am thinking of stewing eggplant and green beans in tomato sauce and poaching lamb meatballs in the sauce. I am even willing to put on clothing and go to Harris Teeter to get the ground lamb.

I was just reading the responses on the Santa Fe/Albuquerque thread (including my own), so I’m longing for a green chile cheeseburger, cheese enchiladas or huevos rancheros Christmas style!!!

What I want RIGHT NOW is one of the fudge bars or mint Klondike bars in my freezer. I am not having either of those, since I’ve felt kinda gross today and we’re having carnitas tacos for dinner.

(Del Rio carnitas, corn tortillas, onion, cilantro, avo, hot sauce. )

I saw a youtube recipe for John Wayne Casserole.

3 with everything from Coney Islander in Tulsa, with a judicious sprinkle of Frank’s Red Hot sauce.

Lamb is my heaven. Nice idea. All I have left are chops and my son loves lamb, unlike my wife. So, when the wife’s away the boys will play braised lamb chops, with mixed veg in the braise.

I can’t even be in the same space where lamb is cooking.

I would enjoy one well braised turkey thigh.

i almost always crave (big time- I spend my life fighting it) baked mac and cheese, using a good jarred alfredo sauce as a base over cavatappi, with a ton of shredded cheddar and some fresh roasted green or red chiles. It takes a lot less time than a roux and has more flavor that I find tasty.

Just made me lick my lips. That sounds amazing. Right now, a well-made gyros, with the onions and bread frying in the meat grease then topped and served. My blue heaven. Cool tzatziki to finish.

Craving meaty korean bbq (galbi, spicy pork, everything), expertly-made pajeon, and japchae I didn’t have to make myself.

Also crab and pork xlb with flavorful juices and a perfect, thin skin.
