What Did You Drink Today (non-wine) #2?

A lovely Solferino Spritz. The ‘Garibaldi’ meets ‘The Bitter Frenchman’ on the revolutionary road to Veneto. Part whimsical history lesson, part ‘call to arms’ — all bittersweet refreshment.

Campari, blood orange juice, bubbly.

Triage vanilla vodka, Ketel One vodka, Mr. Black cold brew liqueur, crème de cacao, freshly brewed espresso.

Now I know why I stick to real martinis. I don’t like cold coffee.

How does the musk willow one taste? More on the musky or the willowy side? :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Neither musky nor willowy (I mean, assuming willowy tastes like a tree?)! Fruity and a bit floral, though the floral comes through even more in its aroma.

I’m sure the coffee negates the effects of the whiskey

Possibly, but the cost is also a deterrent.

Martini (surprise!) with a new to us gin:

It’s from Brazil and very citrus forward on its own, but not overly so in the drink. Couldn’t resist the $7 off sale

Cheap and lazy = buying a can of TipTop’s Paper Plane, which they say they developed in collaboration with Sam Ross who invented the drink. I don’t have the amaro needed to concoct my own. Not bad, all things considered, but the cans from TipTop, Golden Rule, etc. are 2 servings for me because they are strong. The first time I had a canned Rock & Rye it almost knocked me flat.
