What Did You Drink Today (non-wine) #1? (2015-2020)

Ignore the cheese balls, I have weakness for Utz. The Michter’s was really nice and might be the smoothest bourbon I’ve tried.

I’ve never seen that label. Will keep an eye out for it as we love bourbon. The Utz label is seasonal, at least, pilgrim! :joy_cat: :maple_leaf::fallen_leaf::maple_leaf:

After reading through this thread I’m convinced of one thing – I’ve gotta get out more!

We used most of the homemade fig cardamom Aquavit in another round of Madison Avenue Manhattans. Our guests really enjoyed them.

Drinking a lot of Manhattans recently after committing a 5L barrel to a Manhattan mix. 2 fifths Old Grand Dad 114, a nice high rye bourbon, with 1 Dolin sweet vermouth. Manhattans on tap :wine_glass:

Brunch with the gfs today–very standard poinsettia. Manhattan (OK 2) during the very depressing 2nd half of the Iggles game.

Gfs plural? That’s enough to make one drink

Not if you’re a girl :stuck_out_tongue:

The 4 of us met in freshman year of high school. Don’t let my love of Manhattans and football fool ya’.

ETA: We met as freshmen in an all-girls Catholic school in Philly.

La Louisiane - Rye, sweet vermouth, Benedictine, peychauds, absinthe, cherry garnish. Delicious.

Harvest cheese balls? The label made me think they were pumpkin flavored.

Yesterday I had coffee and iced tea. Why does anyone care?

They might if it belonged in this thread, given the board it is on '-)

I can see where you would get that as everything is pumpkin flavored these days. Fortunately that is not the case and it tastes only of delicious fake cheese dust.

Couldn’t resist–this has cracked me up since the first day I saw it.

Irish coffee and Long Island iced tea, nice!

Lots of cheap bourbon after spending 1/2 the day on the phone with my internet provider trying to set up a new lap top:angry:

Drinking a Willett barrel # 824 bourbon. 10 yrs old and 127.2 proof. Taste like pecan pie in a glass

Where do you get this stuff?

Pass that pie this way, man!

A bourbon group I’m in had a good relationship and the opportunity to taste and buy barrels from Willett for a few years before the secondary market blew through the roof and they cancelled their barrel program. We are still picking barrels from others. But for now buying barrels from Willett is no longer an option.

The bourbon I was referring to was from Brown Forman and purchased by Willett who barreled it and stored it because it was out of profile for BF. Good thing it didn’t fit BFs profile because it’s spectacular as a single barrel.

What a crime it would have been if it was blended into a Jack Daniel’s, Woodford or Old Forester
