Strawberry semi-frozen daiquiri, made with Cruzan white rum. It was made in a blender, but not with ice–with frozen (and fresh) strawberries from our garden. I could have a lot of those.

That red cherry hard cider is getting hard to find. Runaway hit!

A Left Hand - recipe here: https://kindredcocktails.com/cocktail/left-hand

Basically a boulevardier with a few dashes of chocolate bitters, served up and garnished with cherries. I had run out of Elijah Craig so used Evan Williams BiB. I liked it. The chocolate bitters added a little something.

A New York sour - 2oz Evan Williams BiB bourbon, 0.75oz simple syrup, 1oz lemon juice. Shake until cold, strain, and pour into a glass with ice. Float red wine on top. Basically a whisky sour with a red wine float.

Persimmon old fashioned? Muddled persimmon and orange, bourbon, splash ample syrup, strained. Finished with a bit of flamed fresh grated nutmeg.

Last night was a perfect Manhattan for me and an Old Pal for DH. Inspired by the David Leibovitz and Ruhlman Instagram yesterday.

Lovely foam. How vigorous was that shake?

Thanks! I shook it with a normal amount of vigor. The amount of foam was perhaps due to the espresso.
