No need to apologize. After all, that’s what this thread is about '-)
Ok one more for dessert: trinidad sour flip
After dinner last night . . .
Domaine Dupont Calvados du Pays d’Auge Plus de 24 Ans – a truly exquisite Calvados that I hand-carried back from visiting the domaine. Bottled in 2006, after more than 24 years aging in oak, this brandy is the pure essence of apples, mixed with hints of (surprisingly subtle) oak, vanilla, and light spice, with a elegant and very long finish. Only 500 bottles produced.
1978 Château de Ravignan Bas-Armagnac (bottled 1 September 2007) – this estate-bottled brandy is rich, full-flavored, and truly exceptional.
i’ll be at the 417 Whiskey Fest tomorrow in Springfield, MO Here is a list of what they will be pouring. http://www.417mag.com/whiskeyfest/Whiskey-Fest–Spirits/
Any thing I should definitely not miss?
The bourbon/rye selections look pretty pedestrian to me but depends on what you’ve had in the past. I’m not big on the craft distillers in general.
A few of the scotch selections look more interesting.
Jason, please don’t tell anyone how much I love you.
As long as you don’t tell my wife! Our secret . . .
Just poured a Ten Fidy. Such a delicious imperial stout
Ooh, where in the Bay do you find that? Looks lovely and rich.
There are enough breweries in the Bay area that surely we could put together a HO-down. ('cause it couldn’t be a Chowdown, now, could it?)
@meatn3, @SandyToes, @Robin, @Justlauralibrarian – you in?
Found the Ten Fidy at Total Wine. I think $15.99/4pk.
Cool, thanks!
I’m not a huge beer fan, but the dude… well, that’s different. Why not?
I’ll be there in June! Just need to coordinate with my brother & bil for someone to sit with my Mother that evening.
Most have at least a cidre or two, and wine to boot.
