You’re probably right, but “fraise” is French for strawberry.
Almost looks too good to eat. ALMOST!
+1 This is what I associate with Frasier. There is a wonderful pistachio Frasier cake available in DC at Kafe Leopold.
We had it as one of our wedding cakes.
Thank you for the recipe. I had to make it in my small countertop oven since the oven in my 9 month old range is already dead. Things brown too fast in the small oven so I had to take it out before the fruit got as caramelized as I would like otherwise the cake would have gotten too brown and overcooked. I pulled off a tiny piece of the caramelized cake and it is delicious. It is not as pretty as yours.
I think that’s beautiful and very appetizing! I’m tempted to try this recipe.
Agreed. Snap that up.
This is a fraisier I made some years ago. The strawberries on top were dipped in hard-crack sugar.
I know, I suck at writing on cakes!
Looks better than my last attempt at writing on a cake.
I switched to the pre-made candy letters, usually there are more than enough letters to spell out what you need to.
I did run out of the letter “E” for my Superbowl cake last year, so I modified a “B” into an “E”.
No one at the party noticed and everyone enjoyed my attempt.
That looks award winning, really!
Thank you!
Poppy seed layer cake with lemon curd filling and seven minute frosting. That’s the best I can describe it . When I was a kid, my grandma had a friend who was an Eastern European immigrant make that for my birthdays. She was such a great baker. Never been able to replicate it.
Hummingbird Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting. I thought I’d found the best banana cake recipe ever, then someone pointed out that it was Hummingbird Cake. Use the recipe with buttermilk though.
Coffee Cake with lots of Streusel. I use King Arthur Recipe.
I’d call this pretty perfect, wish I could taste a slice!
That’s a high compliment - someone else making my recipe. I hope you enjoyed it!
Still better than anything I’ve done. I avoid it and consult my honey for the delicates.
We did. It was best warm but was also good for breakfast. I don’t think I have done a peach/pecan combo before; I like it.
Thank you!
Peach and pecan are a really underappreciated combination (even in the American South where they grow side by side!)
Theres a Peach Pecan Bourbon thats to die for…i could see that added to your recipe for extra extra.
Nice!
