You reached your limit. The show obviously contains ‘material’ that it would seem impossible for anyone to know and must be made up. Many of the more public incidents are factual in their main elements, but the personal details have got to be fiction. I recall reading that Darryl Hannah said the parts about her were untrue and I’d take her at face value.
A main theme of the series focuses on the incredibly invasive elements of being in the spotlight at an unimaginably high level. These things happened 25+ years ago and I’d think would be vastly more impossible to live with in today’s media environment. Can’t imagine having anything remotely like a normal life.
There were a few things on deck we debated watching last night — the Will Arnett standup flick is available for free now, the sequel to the fantastic Sisu is available for streaming as well, and Train Dreams, which has been on our watchlist forever.
Instead, we watched a quirky Quanadian coming-of-age movie about an obnoxious teenager (I realize that’s an oxymoron) obsessed with movies, aptly named I like movies.
Sweet, awkward, and with a great performance by Veronika Slowikowska, whom neither of us had ever heard of or seen.
I read the book and got annoyed with the book’s implausibility, so I never watched the first season. It seems to be a thing where a series is made from a book and then they make up more events to have a second season. Big Little Lies did that to the original book and stretched it out way too long.
The latest two installments of Neighbors and Born to Bowl — both highly enjoyable in their own way, both on Haitch Bee Oh.
Unlike previous Neighbors episodes, this one focuses on just one fellow citizen desperate for like-minded friends who may possibly swear more than I do (a feat). You better like floppy wieners (like, a LOT) for this one.
Lots of swearing in the bowling show, too. It was a rowdy night at casa lingua
Same. I went in knowing all the hype and it exceeded my expectations. The first PTA film I have seen and I was blown away. Some the best cinematography I have seen-- particularly the desert driving.
I loved Train Dreams.
Am I the only one who watched the Peaky Blinders movie. Do not unblur if you plan on watching. I thought immortal meant you never died? This text will be blurred
Interested to see what you all think of the newest Taylor Sheridan series The Madison on Paramount+. We’re really enjoying it through the first 2 episodes but the critics reviews I’ve seen are pretty dismal. Maybe we’re just in need of something a bit lighter right now. It seems very different, in a good way, from what we’d expect from Sheridan. Maybe that’s what the critics are about.
We have seen the first 4 episodes and are enjoying it. Michelle Pfeiffer is excellent, and deserves an Emmy. Be sure to have a box of Kleenex handy, if you decide to watch. It is very different than most Taylor Sheridan shows.
