GAME SEVEN of the world serious!
I really liked Sherwood, Seasons 1 and 2.
I know we’re behind the times but are currently almost done with season 2 of Boston Legal. Looking forward to Season 3. Denny Crane. Denny Crane.
'tis the season*. We watched Strange Harvest with our buddy after dinner.
It was pretty terrible, save for a few scenes.
E2 of Welcome to Derry was also not the greatest, although the intro was very well done. May not stick to this if it doesn’t pick up by E3.
Then I watched the surprisingly funny SNL on my own, as my PIC had fallen asleep ![]()
House of Dynamite.it was going well until it wasn’t! Terrible, ending.
Finished S5 of Slow Horses. So glad we gave it another shot.
We have been watching Hotel Costiera. Very corny. We like the Amalfi setting.
If you liked Slow Horses you should give Down Cemetery Road (on Apple TV) a chance. It’s based on a book from the same author as Slow Horses. I watched the first two episodes and it is pretty good. Emma Thompson and Ruth Wilson are excellent.
I read the book, tv series is on my to watch list.
Draymond was on St. Dennis!
Watched the first two episodes of Martin Scorsese documentary on Apple and it’s really interesting. He’s had a really eclectic career.
Based on a good friend’s rec we started the excellent Giri/Haji from 2019. In fact, we liked it so much we watched 2 episodes — they’re each an hour long. It’s a strange yet intriguing melange of a British crime procedural drama, gangster satire, and Yakuza crime epic.
@PedroPero & @Lectroid you might like this one ![]()
We’d started the evening with part one of a 3-part Chaplin doc series on Prime, but I couldn’t stay awake — which is more of a comment on my state of mind than the show, which we’ll give a second chance some other night.
On the list, thanks.
Hope you don’t mind subtitles. It’s in Japanese & English. AMERICAN English, not CANADIAN ![]()
I’m sure I’ll manage ![]()
Isn’t it in English English? Or maybe even Scottish English given Kelly Macdonald is one of the leads?
Yes, of course. Maybe I should refrain from posting before having my second cup of cawfee ![]()
QED.
I love Kelly MacDonald, she was so good in Boardwalk Empire.
She’s greats. Dept Q was fun — @Midlife had posted about it here, and she was also in Line of Duty and No Country for Old Men.
Also fabulous in No Country for Old Men. I didn’t recognize her and had no idea she wasn’t a native Texan.
