IIRC, in theaters, it was a crap shoot which ending you’d see. They wanted you to come back to see the other endings. All three endings are included in home video editions, as well as streaming, I’m pretty sure.
Watched the first two episodes of the last season of Stranger Things on Netflix. Not a spoiler, but it’s pretty grim and violent. Finishing it up tonight.
good to know, will add it to our list
…
we are currently watching Down Cemetery Road.
lol I looked this recipe up yesterday, had not noticed your post until now.
S11, a particularly funny season of Taskmaster with comedians unfamiliar to me, but Mike Wozniak is absolutely hysterical.
I wish it would never end ![]()
Exceptional scriptwriting in new season.
Just discovered the Roku Channel has one of the great cop shows— Police Story, created by the great Joseph Wambaugh. It’s an anthology show so the characters vary from week to week although I understand some do make repeat appearances.
I’ve watched the first two episodes and have already seen Chuck Connors, Ed Asner, Ralph Meeker, Harry Guardino, Vic Morrow, Diane Baker, Sandy Baron, David Doyle, Paul Burke, Claude Akins, Verna Bloom, Anthony James, and Robert Ito. That’s a lot of firepower.
It’ll either be movie night or continuing with the intriguing Absentia… but there will DEF be a screening of South Park’s Thxgiving episode ![]()
I’m not a big fan of Down Cemetery rd. Plot was so convoluted for the first 2 or 3 episodes and motivation for all this murdering and craziness seems tenuous especially for Ruth Wilson character. Also was hoping there would be more Olivia/Ruth interaction. My fave character is one of the bad guys and why he still has a job is puzzling. Love Slow Horses not so much this one.
Is anyone watching “Pluribus” on Apple TV?
I am, and I’m enjoying it so far.
yes. another Vince Gilligan triumph. the reaction to this show is truly wild.
spoiler
if anything, i think Carol is under-reacting to her situation: losing your sole true companion, losing all of humanity (except a handful of far flung souls), and having no clear path to combat the situation, would make me very angry indeed. i think i’d drive to Malibu, via the Santa Ynez Valley, purloin a few barrels, and camp out at some cliffside chateau. the despair is palpable and entirely understandable. a great character study.
Agree, I like shows that put me in the drivers seat like “what would I do in this situation?”, could I cope or handle it? Very well written.
I slogged through season 3 of Slow Horses last night thinking the characters and the writing might grow on me, but instead I found them even more annoying than the previous 2 seasons
Just not my cuppa and I’m def not excited for season 4. 5/10 Slow ![]()
A few have mentioned it here. We’re waiting for the entire season to be available so we can binge it.
Dead of Winter with Emma Thompson & Judy Greer. We desperately needed a “distraction,” and this fit my PIC’s requirement of being set in … well, the dead of winter in MN.
I thought Emma Thompson did a good job with the accent, and I still get a kick out of watching a movie with women as the main characters.
I just finished watching the first season of The Capture on Peacock. It was very good and very binge worthy (with only 6 episodes). It’s kind of scary how they can create deep fakes using AI to make anyone look guilty. I’m looking forward to watching season 2. It was already renewed for season 3, which should come out some time next year.
The initially interesting, then increasingly weird Rabbit Trap with Dev Patel, whose excellent Monkey Man we enjoyed thoroughly. He didn’t direct this one, though, which might explain a few things.
If Welsh lore is your thang, you might enjoy. We did not.
Watched 2 more episodes of Absentia, then finished S11 of Taskmaster. Thank goodness there are several seasons left ![]()
just finished taskmaster s20. another great season after the amazing s19. I understand they are touring the states next year!!
OMG awesome sauce!
