Interesting to read that Irene Cara and co-writers didn’t write the Flashdance song until After they had actually watched the final scene on film. And oh what a scene it was. A perfect song for a perfect ending.

I was hoping to post a specific version of Rapper’s Delight that includes the EPIC food verse, but I’ve not been able to find it. My mom had the album and I still know all the words, but most versions on youtube or elsewhere have completely different lyrics. Wah.

Any Canterbury fans here? I enjoy Gong, Steve Hillage, Caravan, etc.

This whole record is really nice

The Gong Flying Teapot Trilogy is pretty epic stuff too for this music fan - I really don’t know another rock band that more successfully incorporates horns, reed instruments and speedy jazz drumming especially.

Caravan, the vocals anyways, may appeal to your new wave side @damiano - obviously kicked up and a decade before all that
