Here ya go. This song always gives me goosebumps.
I watched Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid last night.
It’s been a while since I had last seen that one. How does it hold up? I’ll check it out soon.
I did rewatch The Sting a few weeks ago and it is still very much an enjoyable movie - definitely recommended!
It’s timeless. The Sting is next on my list.
Flew into JFK yesterday. Took a cab. Noticed the taxi driver was a bit all over the place, and making sudden turns regularly. When we were in the UES, I suddenly heard a police siren behind us and the now legendary words through the police car’s speaker: “yo, cabbie!”.
I saw these guys live, over a decade ago I believe. They were really good that evening, a bit like this clip here.
Florence Price symphony #3. Excellent.
Last night was a live performance of Tosca
At the Met? How was it? Still thinking of going…
If you can wait until April, Angela Gheorghiu sings. We saw her Tosca a decade ago – thrilling. She’s the whole package. Singing, of course; looks wonderful; and she can act (not just find the mark).
Oh heavens no.
St Pete Opera.
That was a good movie, I’ve always been a fan of the director Ridley Scott. May not be his best, but still.
Especially watching Michael Douglas, he was electrifying in that era! I watched Wall Street again last week, and was surprised to see the movie holding up so well, really a good movie. Though I am a bit biased for personal reasons as I work in the same industry. This songs pops up in one of the scenes.
Decided against visiting Tosca at the Met, so watching some old youtubes now. Wish I was alive when Tebaldi was singing… Majestic.
Darius Rucker: I like this guy’s music.
Beautiful album.
so many stars in the group here but I’m a big Mick Ronson fan so there’s that…
Listening to Hurricane, and the Lonesome Ballad of Hattie Carroll, the times they are a changin?
Beautiful rendition! Have only seen the first 15 minutes or so (in a cab to dinner!) but will definitely check out who the singers are and such. Is this your favourite Tosca?
