And a great NYC tune … (speaking of beats @bbqboy)
I feel called out
Weather Report Mysterious Traveller. First song on the album. Nubian Sundance . Slaps you in the face and into cold water . Extremely exceptional . I had the pleasure to see this band multiple times. I’m super grateful.
Pavement - saw them last night, sounding better than ever.

sounds like elvis costello and velvet underground’s love child … in a good way!
maybe a threesome with REM?
Love me some GP
Flying Burrito Brothers - My Uncle - YouTube
And at least willie is still bringing it. National fucking treasure.
Willie Nelson - Whiskey River (Live From Austin City Limits, 1981) - YouTube
And can’t even remember which Saturday Night Fever track was posted here the other day, but there are so many good songs on that album.
How deep is your love @damiano ?
Yeah, great clip… I should play this next song when I’m in the taxi to Manhattan from JFK next month. Another great song from the album.
I think I have a 45 of The Walker Brothers’ “The Sun Ain’t Gonna Shine Anymore” around somewhere. The Righteous Brothers were somewhat better overall, but I liked these guys.
i think google correctly points out that this is the stuff that still makes grandmas…well i won’t say it lol!
good stuff…
Saw this one at a local theatre a few weeks back…classic movie, and love the song (and i know there’s a movie with the same title too but Pam Grier for the win)
I must admit that I don’t know the Walker Brothers well but this song came up in my spotify algorithm and it just sounds so good! Apparently it was used in the series Master of None (netflix) hence the renewed interest.
Great movie, and great soundtrack indeed… Was just checking again which songs are on it… And wow - didn’t even remember this song was on it, even though I have been listening to it often recently.
