Rest in peace, Robbie Robertson. Thank you for your music
Next Friday night. Not this Friday. If I meant this Friday I would have said this Friday. Sheesh. Next Friday in NYC. Mercury Lounge 8/18. I will be there.
The guy got stage presence allright! If I lived in NYC I’d come check them out as well. Unfortunately…
Yeah, I am looking forward to it. That video is what convinced me to go. Think these are their first shows ever. Should be worth the $15 plus fees. Costs more to drive into NYC than to go to the show.
How was the concert? Or is it today (Friday)?
Tonight. Woohoo!
Caught Patti last Sunday, Bob Mould solo electric opened.
If you are ever in San Francisco on a Sunday in the summer I highly recommend catching a Stern Grove show. Free so get in line early, bring your picnic provisions and a couple bottles of rose and enjoy a uniquely San Francisco experience. Flaming Lips close out the series this Sunday.
Just heard Melancholia by Duke Ellington. Now it is Second Rhapsody by George Gershwin.
This is fun as hell.
Didn’t wake up on the wrong side of the bed, but rather on the wrong side of the truck bed…
Lot of fun and brought me back to the old days.
This was an early show and doors opened at 6. I got out of work at 5, went home, then sweated it out through the Holland Tunnel getting there at 7:25. Found parking right outside and settled in a few rows back center stage.
Band very happy to be there shouting New York multiple times and there was good band/audience interaction.
This was last song, which they had also played acoustically earlier in the set.
After went out for Ceviche (with Corvina!) and Calamari to Dora’s Restaurant which was only a few blocks away. Home by 11:15.
