He came up in a conversation with some of my H.S. friends & I mentioned that he went to H.S. with us (a year ahead) & that he stood out since he dressed and sounded like Jimi Hendrix. Those of us who knew him always thought he was delusional about getting to know Jimi and it was many years later that I found out that he not only did, but was close to him and then recorded this album after Jimi’s death. Well, since I was already down the nostalgia rabbit hole, I’m listening to Pink Floyd “Atom Heart Mother”. As I type this, “Alan’s Psychedelic Breakfast” is playing. At least this time I’m not sitting in my dorm room with the lights out in an “altered” state, trying to figure out who’s cooking and talking to me. And they thought Syd Barrett was the only psychotic one.
