What are you listening to? 2024

I’d have thought so… Pat Metheny is touring Europe I believe (thought I’d read it on spotify). Let’s see if I can still get tickets. Though not sure how much magic remains without Lyle Mays!

Oh, the Midnight Special just was!

Sade . Her band was so tight . Tempos are my favorite. Utmost in musically. Fun to practice to on drums.
Also Brian Culbertson. Step into love .

San Lorenzo with Pat Metheny Group. Stuck indoors, air quality is bad. Too much smoke coming in from the west.

RIP Sergio Mendes.

RIP! I didn’t know he died until your post! Big loss…

I was dating a professional violinist a while ago, someone who (still) performs in a classical quartet traveling the world. I had always thought she wanted to listen mostly to classical music in her free time, but nothing could be further from the truth. We would often have Sergio Mendes’ Greatest Hits album (see link below) on repeat… Highly recommended!

I’m having trouble adding links to my posts these days, especially from youtube, that’s why you see the black youtube prescreen. Plus I couldn’t post a link to the album, so please find below. Not sure if the prices are right though…

That just started with this latest update.

The first live show I saw was the Trashmen at the custom car show in 5th grade.

The next one was Jimi Hendrix and after that the Grateful Dead opening for Iron Butterfly.
I was hooked.

:cowboy_hat_face:
