The new Billie Eilish album, which I was really excited about coming out today, like, pre-order excited about.

On first listen it seems a lot more of the same, but not nearly as interesting as her previous work. A couple songs stood out, but GD will she ever use the pipes she has? Or keep us forever longing while she whispers in our ears

The Overture to Semiramide by Rossini. I am not a big fan of Rossini. Some say that Vivaldi wrote the same piece over and over. I disagree, but Rossini seems to have done close to that very thing. KMFA picked it. Thankfully we now have a Bach double concerto. Heavenly.

Just returned from a performance of the Vivaldi Gloria by the Voices of St. Martin’s. They were ethereal. They’ll be back at All Saints’ in the morning to sing at our 10:15 eucharist, and Sam Wells, Vicar of St. . Martin-in-the-Fields, will preach.

New album. Scottie’s Dad has a 50 year pedigree in the music industry and she isn’t far behind. Her cover of Ode to Billie Joe is my latest ear worm.
