The new Billie Eilish album, which I was really excited about coming out today, like, pre-order excited about.
On first listen it seems a lot more of the same, but not nearly as interesting as her previous work. A couple songs stood out, but GD will she ever use the pipes she has? Or keep us forever longing while she whispers in our ears
The Overture to Semiramide by Rossini. I am not a big fan of Rossini. Some say that Vivaldi wrote the same piece over and over. I disagree, but Rossini seems to have done close to that very thing. KMFA picked it. Thankfully we now have a Bach double concerto. Heavenly.
Franz Joseph Hadynâs Piano Sonata in E-flat Major, played by Paul Lewis.
Perfect for this dreary stormy morning.
Brian Culbertson. David Sanborn tribute. On you tube.
Feargal Sharkey these days:
Bill Harley on MTPR and live from studio B on youtube.
Just returned from a performance of the Vivaldi Gloria by the Voices of St. Martinâs. They were ethereal. Theyâll be back at All Saintsâ in the morning to sing at our 10:15 eucharist, and Sam Wells, Vicar of St. . Martin-in-the-Fields, will preach.
New album. Scottieâs Dad has a 50 year pedigree in the music industry and she isnât far behind. Her cover of Ode to Billie Joe is my latest ear worm.
Been a while since seeing your posts. Glad youâre listening.
Thxs. Never miss an opportunity to find new or revisit all music, right?!
Know the song in this version.
