As part of my holiday prep, Pumpkin Pots de Creme from Leites Culinaria. I made a half recipe in quarter-cup ramekins. These came out so smooth and creamy. Next year - bigger ramekins!
Yum (sigh!)
HAPPY THANKSGIVING, ALL!
Thrilled with the cake I decided to make myself for my birthday. Spiced chiffon cake, eggnog ice cream, and vanilla namelaka.
We have unfortunately had scheduled power outages all week and they’re pretty long, and alcohol-laced ice creams are already precarious without power issues, so when it was time to cut it and pipe the namelaka, this was nowhere near as frozen as I would have liked, but it is so absurdly delicious and exactly how I imagined it when I dreamed up the idea a few weeks ago.
Oh my, when is your cookbook coming out?
I would pay significant dollars for this dessert.
Aw, thank you, that’s so kind of you!
I had planned this for Christmas, but family is coming and I’m rejoicing at having an excuse to finally put the trifle dish to use. But with how this turned out I’m really tempted to make it again!
I agree with you here. Pretty spectacular!
I just saw a recipe for calissons de Provence and all that candied fruit made me think of you. I don’t see candied melon that often!
just read up on that delicacy while i wait for my cranberries to reach temperature. what a story!
I just don’t have larger family gatherings or parties much anymore, and I miss excuses to put my trifle dish to use!
Many happy returns!
I’ve used it exactly one time!
So it bothers me that I’ve owned it for over a decade. I figure I need to take advantage of a decent crowd for once.
Was super helpful
I made cinnamon rolls on Sunday, since my daughter is home all week. I get the recipe from Saveur, but don’t add nuts or raisins and do a frosting instead of a glaze.
That looks amazing.
Happy birthday! Gorgeous cake.
The one with cream cheese laminated into the dough? That’s my favorite cinnamon roll recipe ever (I also omit the raisins)!
Thank you!
Happy Birthday @Shellybean! Your cake looks and sounds spectacular!!
