cut squares of the cheesecake and top with a generous dollop of bluebs.

A nice crisp sugar cookie with sprinkles. Icing sugar and cornstarch in the dough make it crisp. Recipe is from Baking Wisdom @ Anna Olson. I have been baking and freezing a variety of cookies so I’m not overworked when my cookie monsters come to visit soon.

Yes! That’s the one. I always sprinkle a bit of sugar over the top to give it a little crunch. It’s a great little cake, so easy, so delicate and sweet.
I pulled one of the leftover dark chocolate birthday cake rounds from the freezer and layered it with stabilized whipped cream and strawberries and blueberries. Happy 4th!

And just like that, sour-cherry season is over in our neck of the woods. It went by awfully fast this year! I managed to stock the freezer with 2-3 quarts of pitted cherries, and bake a small cake (yesterday) and a small pie (today).
If I can rustle up another 50-60 cherries in a few days, I’ll make a mini-crumble, but at the rate they’re turning, it’s questionable.
