also, about the bake time: the recipe is for two pans. I only ever bake one at a time (i halve all quantities.) i definitely have found over and over it doesn’t need the entire bake time when it’s one pan. i pull it out when the edges are a bit browned.

hah. it’s the fussy decorating i’m not into. cookies themselves, parties: love them.
I get that. I always tell people I like to BAKE, not decorate, hence why layer cakes are so annoying to me. Let me bake a cake and eat it already it.

I made another loaf of honey wheat bread with oatmeal. Nailed the rise this time, I think.
My son has been asking for more homemade bread and it feels good too make something that he thinks is better than store-bought.
