I think there is much agreement among many in the beer community that pumpkin beer is a sht show; but it seems every micro and craft has to make one. I can’t stand that.
Pickles, and I really enjoy pickles, are now replacing the bread/sub roll at some delis making cold cut sandwiches. Drippy, wet deli subs. Blah.
Hard seltzer? An unnecessary beverage under the enormously overdone HARD category. In any flavor.
Def dislike pumpkin beer. Mango beer was awful too.
Such a concept makes me glad I am now T-total.
I had this mango beer at an Indian restaurant (Clay’s Kitchen) recently and it was actually quite nice. It appears to have been specially brewed for the restaurant.
uff. Sounds like it’d taste terrible. Guava would be even worse. Pumpkin sucks, too; but they make sht tons every year.
Agreed on the pumpkin beers but there are a number of very good beers which include mango, e.g. sour beer with mango (Mighty Squirrel Brewery) or NEIPA conditioned over mangos
I’d be open to trying others you rec. I enjoy mangos. The how its brewed is my hesitation.
I looked into Mighty Squirrel Brewery and the next time I’m at Fenway I’ll head over.
Dear God ….
Quite a mouth party!
Oooh! Got another one from my favorite client
Vitamin kick
Decorated with colorful flower petals.
Mixed salad with diced pumpkin, vegan pea protein-based ‘meat,’ pear, walnuts, pomegranate and marinated sesame. With a heavenly Sylt-style salad dressing and fresh bread.
WTF is ‘marinated sesame?’ Either way, I pity the fool / line cook who has to marinate single sesame seeds. Also, why point out the bread is fresh? I have the same beef with ‘fresh salad.’ As opposed to what? Frozen? Old?
GAWD.
Friends of mine used to decorate their salads with (non-poisonous) flower petals from their beautiful garden back in the ‘70s. Before it was A Thing. Next, I remember briefly seeing flower petals in the produce section of one family grocery maybe 35 years ago. Then they were gone. Ditto miniature vegetables. I can’t keep up, or figure out how or why you’d marinate sesame seeds. I’m just a peasant, obviously.
Wegners had the flower petals for quite a while, IIRC. And I also remember the miniature zukes, but not any other tiny veg.
What a time to be alive, eh?
That’s what I say every morning when I wake up. Oh, no … it’s more like OMG I’m alive.
Could the sesame referenced be sesame leaf, aka perilla? Because marinating sesame seeds seems odd. Roasting or frying, yes.
Only Wilma knows.
Pattypan squash were really popular at banquets in Ontario for a while. They usually don’t taste as good as zucchini.
I remember making pattypan pizza bites one time when I got several of them from my CSA (back in 2013). They were OK. But obviously not good enough for me to recreate. LOL
OK imma gonna try to read it without resorting to Google Translate. My work is never done … brb.
