My companion had a good idea: Let’s watch the Kentucky Derby and make a meal around some Kentucky Fried Chicken. Sounded fun! She prepared some of her own delicious baked beans and cole slaw, then went out to pick up an order of Kentucky Fried Chicken, extra crispy, and a few biscuits. We have not had KFC for a long time. We even invited a neighbor in for the repast and we all had a blast!
Congrats to Always Dreaming, but would have liked to see Patch, the one-eyed horse, do better…
Oh, almost forgot. She made a Derby Pie (her family hails from Kentucky), and left it over because we were all so full. Will have some later…
