[Walsden, West Yorkshire] Cotton Weavers Cafe

Breakfast. At this converted cotton mill, owned by and directly opposite Gordon Rigg Garden Centre.

Cheese on toast for one of us, which was OK. Better was the “Full English”. Two very decent sausages, 2 rashers of bacon, black pudding, mushrooms, grilled tomato, hash brown, fried egg, two slices of toast and coffee. A bargain, considering the quality, at £8.25.

They serve breakfast all day but, come lunch time, there’s also sandwiches and straightforward dishes such as homemade cheese and onion pie (with chips, peas and gravy, of course)

Almost worth the drive just for this but the garden centre also has the best range of houseplants that I know in the general area. We’d gone to buy festive stuff.
