Vive La Tarte, SF SOMA report w/ PICS

I walked over to Vive La Tarte from Westfield SF Center Mall and it’s not too bad a walk. It’s on Howard near 8th, next time I’ll just walk from Civic Center down 8th and make a Left on Howard.

It’s a nice space with lots of space to sit and relax. There’s a counter for the various pastries/pizza slices and on the other side of the shop is a coffee bar area.

I went late in the afternoon so all the good looking croissants were gone, I picked up Blood Orange Tart and Hazelnut Brittle Tart $6 ea. I took them home and ate them a bit later in the day. Blood Orange Tart was a bit sour almost lemon tasting tasted ok, the Hazelnut Brittle one had a nice crunchy top, but then whipped cream in the middle and the cookie bottom. Not as good as the Blood Orange I thought.

I will be back for the pretty fruit filled croissants and coffee.

2 unisex bathrooms available. Charged my pastries.
