I cam across this video which has some surprises.
The biggest surprise is that Astoria, on 17th Street, is now a Sichuan restaurant, no longer a lame Greek restaurant, though it still retains a bit of Greek design to the menu.
Another surprise is a craft cocktail space that hardly has any food at all, Bar Providencia. What little food it does have seems about 70% Latino-influenced maybe with an Asian touch.
And then there is the completely fusion Tonari, for Italian-Japanese . Though again, FAR more Italian than Asian.
Rounding out the list is Thip Khao, and from a completely different part of Asia, Lapis, the Afghani place.
