Traveling to Vancouver WA for family get together. Interested in restaurant recommendations, mid range, nothing exotic, no tasting menus. Just a place that might have an offering for all tastes. I’ve perused the area and couldn’t find much. Don’t want to go into Portland. Thank you for any insight you might have.
Haven’t been but this place has been on my radar for Vancouver WA: https://www.dedikos.com/
I haven’t eaten in Vancouver too much, but some ideas that come to mind:
Grassa - there’s a branch of this Portland restaurant in Downtown Vancouver. I haven’t been, but I’ve heard it’s pretty good.
La Provence - French bakery and restaurant for breakfast and lunch
Oak Tree Station in Eastern Vancouver has some good food carts, with both indoor and outdoor eating spaces (and soccer field for kids to run around). The pelmeni cart w/ the Eastern European dumplings is great, but there’s lots of options. My main complaint is that they don’t have any high chairs (literally every other food cart pod that I’ve been to in Portland/Vancouver has them).
Thanks for the replies. Our trip was in Oct. We were staying in an Airbnb so we ended up mostly cooking or ordering in. The only day we ventured out was to the Saturday farmers market, which was great and then we had lunch on the deck at the Waterfront’s Tap Room. Not a very big menu but what we had was good as were the Margaritas.
La Provence is a favorite of our niece but we never made it there.
