[Upper West Side] Bricco Closed

I’m sure we are all tired of hearing about beloved restaurants shuttered due to Covid, but I must mourn the loss of my absolute favorite New York Italian place, Bricco. The food was Italian. Not Italian-American (which I also like) but Italian. The owners were Italian from near Rome, I think. I ate there for more than 20 years. I took appreciative clients for lunch and friends for dinner. I once showed up without my wallet for a business lunch and they took care of me. They made classic dishes like simple lemon veal and this fab tagliatelle alla chitara with a delicate veal ragu. There was a clams in Brodo appetizer I loved and the wine list was really fine. I just hope everyone from the restaurant is healthy wherever they are.
