Good doggie!!!
My girl requires daily meds - fortunately they are able to be compounded into a transdermal cream that is rubbed into the inside of her ear flap. Unfortunately, she can heat the click click click of the dispensing pen, and hides. Yet, after the application is finished, she’s immediately all snuggles again. Go figure.
She isn’t Siamese, she’s Tonkinese, which is Siamese/Burmese. They come in 8 variations, I wanted the Siamese look. In cat showing world, this type cannot be shown because it isn’t what they are aiming for.
I don’t like the look of modern Siamese, head is too elongated. Before I had Abyssinians but they absolutely refused to let me clip their nails, had to drive them to groomer or vet.
I love verbal cats but she’s only so at mealtimes, enthusiastic eater. She, like the Abys before, can jump onto my shoulder from the floor.
Name: Darcy
My Siamese were all traditional. My Oriental Shorthair girl is actually a Russian Peterbald - but she has a long, regular coat. The breed originated as a cross between a sphynx and an oriental shorthair, and the offspring can have various sorts of coats. They aren’t all hairless. It’s just easier to refer to her as an Oriental Shorthair, especially at an emergency clinic.
Our Siamese were possibly ‘seal point’ This was over 60 years ago. Loved them much.
Yes, I love the Seal Point but Blue Points are so lovely too.
DNA results are in: this creature is 100% Pomeranian. A bit surprised as the shelter said mix and she is 10 pounds. Breed standard is 4 to 6 pounds.
It is hot here. Hopps arose at 9:40 am. We let him out the back door. Three squirrels were splooting on the deck. He simply meandered past them.
My daughter is home from college and so is her cat. She says she (Daffodil, aka “Daffy”) is called a tortoise-shell tabby. Daffy is pretty nice but can be cantankerous at times.
We’re trying to get her integrated into the dog life, which is taking some time. She’s a bit afraid of our (now) 70 pound monster dog.
She’s beautiful! And I’d say that 95% of cats can be cantankerous at times.
Especially when forced to play nice with a rando dog. Rando to the cat, not to you, @CCE, of course
Closest one of my late kitties ever came to a dog was at the vet. They have this picture on their website. I called them and confirmed that yes, it was my little guy. He lives on …
Dog and granddaughter…
