Updates and running commentary from our critters

Jonesy came to snuggle this morning and laid down for a hot sec. He’s such a goofball. He gets real antsy when he’s being pet “too much” :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Also, this.

I am knitting a hat for someone. Ziggy has never experienced me knitting. He matter-of factly removed the hank of yarn from the spindle and started to walk off with it.

I’ve never had a cat show any interest in yarn despite what all the cartoons depict!!

Our friend posted a video recently with her cat running through the entire house with a ball of yarn, up and down desks, and staircases. Pretty hilarious!

He didn’t run with it! Just set it down on the floor and walked out of the room. He moves big things (relative to his size) a lot.

I did have one cat who was a wool-eater she ate a huge hole in the back of an alpaca sweater I was knitting. Expensive tastes … what a girl.

Our daughter’s 2 year old orange rescue cat seems to like human food but she wasn’t prepared for him to chow down on a salad she’d left on her tv tray this evening. We don’t think he knows he’s a cat.

My wife often has her knitting interrupted by Roxy. It makes for slow going. Henrietta, OTOH, really has no interest–cardboard/paper is her jam.

Do they just do that all day long, whenever they aren’t causing trouble?? TG you kept them together!!!

About 50% of the day they are on a neverending quest to find food, or ingestings stuffs resembling foods (fuzz, stains on the kitchen floor, lint) bc we NEVER FEED THEM.

30% is spent playing & wrestling one another, and the final 20% doing this, which makes up for the rest of the craziness :revolving_hearts:

We keep talking about how it had to be them. Rash decision or not. They bring us so much joy :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Here’s Jake after I managed to get him off my shoulders/back of my neck — a spot he finds tremendously comfortable. We hoomins? Not so much.

Aw. I used to have a shoulder cat. I wish I had one now!

He’s also a tomahawk steak / musical note cat.

So versatile!
