The only human food the cat I had growing liked was cooked chicken. She would whine and beg for it constantly at dinner. Our current girls have no interest in eating food, flowers, etc., though Roxy Cat will investigate my wifeâs meals and occasionally try to touch whatâs on the plate.
Between monkey boy and these two itâs a difference of night and day. Rocky was perfectly content eating the same ole kibble day in, day out, with the occasional wet food period. You could wave a steak in front of his face and he wouldnât blink. Didnât move a whisker when the tuna cans were opened. Zilch.
These guys are unstoppable. Everything in the house is either a toy, or food to them.

Other than his crunchies, shredded cooked chicken was the only âwetâ food that my late Buster (on the left) would eat, and his late brother, Alfalfa, would hoover anything put in front of himâŚEXCEPT cooked chicken. Buster also enjoyed mushy carrots on occasion that heâd get mixed in with the chicken from carcasses I tossed into a pot for stock.
Finnegan and Murphy both will eat chicken from my making stock - but it usually isnât eaten right away. I put a pinch in their bowls last night about 9:30. Murphy came over to inspect, but loudly told me it was NOT what he wanted.
But it was gone from both bowls this morning when I came downstairs. Not sure if Finnegan ate both nibbles.

Occasionally Henrietta Cat will eat a fly sheâs caught, though one evening she did so and the next morning spat it out on the bed. (Sheâs not a good enough hunter to catch 2 flies in less than a day.)

My daughter saw some little cat pins at Marshallâs; they were marked with political parties. She said she thought most cats wouldnât be affiliated with any but if they were itâd be Libertarian or Independent.

Some EXCELLENT, if rather stunning news: Jonesy tested negative for both feline leukemia AND FIV 
This means he can get vaxxed, and it certainly makes us question Jakeâs positive diagnosis for either.
In any event, Jonesy is a healthy boy, which is so much better than anything weâd dared hope for
