This is a wonderful idea - charities first, store workers, then open to the public. This could truly help those who go without more often than not.

Bravo to them. I saw an astonishing amount of supermarket food waste going to feed livestock that I used to visit at a local farm. While it was good to see the food—bread, as I recall—being used, I wondered why there was so much when people are hungry.
