Translucent residue on top of bread

Anyone know what this is please? I few minutes of web searching didn’t give me a good answer.

look a lot like flour ‘lumps’ that have been clung&expanded by oven spring . . .

I believe that is Starch that was wet before the Loaves were baked.
That looks like it was a VERY hydrated Dough.
