Trader Joe's return policy

We all know about Trader Joe’s very liberal return policy.

E.g., you can return almost any thing for a full refund, even if it’s opened, used, or consumed, and you don’t even need a receipt. And there’s no strict time limit (meaning you could theoretically return something a year or years later).

Who among us has fully taken advantage of this return policy?

I am just curious what you have returned and in what condition.

I mean, theoretically, you could walk into a TJ’s and say, “I didn’t like your frozen pizza, I ate the whole thing, and lost my receipt, but I’d still like my money back.” Does that work??

I returned a bottle of olive oil because I hated the taste of it so much I thought it might have gone off. The customer service guy said no, that’s what it’s supposed to taste like. He took it back with no argument.

I’ve returned burrata that had turned moldy long before the expiration date & replaced it with a fresh one. As for your pizza example, go for it. Would love to hear what they say. Eating an entire pizza you didn’t like might not be very convincing.
