NYT covers a few Japanese places here in Austin, specifically Loro and Kemuri Tatsuya. Each has their own take on the concept fusing Asian food with smoked meats.

Leonard Botello of Truth BBQ recently did a pop up at Ramen Tatsu-ya, the Austin import in Houston. I’m sure the idea came from Austin and I’m sure there was a line.

This is going to be available all through May and I’ve been meaning to get over to this place so I hope to be able to try it.
